What is the UNM CARE Program?

The UNM CARE program is a collaborative support system dedicated to promoting the holistic well-being of UNM students. Guided by SAMHSA’s 8 Dimensions of Wellness, CARE focuses on ensuring students thrive in all aspects of their lives. It is not a crisis intervention service but rather a network of support designed to proactively address student needs and connect them with the appropriate campus resources.

If you are a faculty or staff member concerned about a student exhibiting concerning behaviors or facing challenges, the CARE Referral form is the designated channel to share this information. This allows the CARE team to connect the student with the necessary academic and wellness services.
