Launch Your Human Services Career with Our Comprehensive Support Program

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? Do you dream of a fulfilling career in human services but need the right pathway to get there? Our Career Support Program is designed to empower you with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to thrive in this rewarding field. We offer paid training, dedicated mentorship, and guaranteed career placement with our trusted partner agencies upon successful program completion.

This impactful initiative directly addresses the growing need for dedicated professionals in human services, particularly within our diverse communities. Aligned with the Greater Worcester Community Health Improvement Plan, our Career Support Program actively breaks down barriers for individuals from immigrant, refugee, and BIPOC backgrounds seeking meaningful direct care and community support roles. We are committed to fostering opportunities and providing robust support systems for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), immigrant, and refugee communities to embark on and excel in human services career pathways.

Our program boasts a proven track record of success. We celebrated the graduation of our first cohort of 16 individuals in August 2022, with the majority being immigrants and refugees who are now making a positive impact in our partner agencies. Cohort 2, comprising 24 graduates, followed in February 2023, and we eagerly anticipate the graduation of our third cohort in December 2023, further expanding the pool of qualified human services professionals.

This vital program is made possible through the generous support of the Senator Kenneth J. Donnelly Workforce Success Grant and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021. These funds, administered by Commonwealth Corporation, underscore the commitment of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development and the Workforce Skills Cabinet to strengthening our workforce and community.

Our esteemed participating agencies include: African Community Education, Open Sky Community Services, Seven Hills Foundation, and Southeast Asian Coalition, providing graduates with diverse and impactful career opportunities.
