Located just a short drive from downtown Chicago, Advocate Christ Medical Center serves as the program’s primary training site. This comprehensive-care teaching and research hospital boasts 749 beds and is designated as a Level I trauma center and Level III NICU, ensuring residents are exposed to a wide spectrum of medical complexities. Advocate Christ Medical Center is nationally recognized for its excellence in key medical disciplines, including cardiovascular medicine, emergency services, surgery, neuroscience, oncology, and women’s health. Adding to the rich learning environment, Advocate Children’s Hospital – Oak Lawn, a dedicated four-story pediatric facility, shares our campus since 1996, offering 45 private inpatient rooms, a pediatric intensive care unit, and a specialized pediatric surgical heart unit.
This unique co-location of Advocate Christ Medical Center and Advocate Children’s Hospital creates an unparalleled training environment for our residents. The breadth and depth of specialty care available, combined with a remarkably diverse patient population, ensures a robust and well-rounded education that truly embodies the ideals of Family Medicine.
