This guarantee ensures that you’re always getting a competitive deal directly from us.
However, it’s important to understand what the Best Rate Guarantee covers. To clarify, the guarantee does not apply to rates from other car rental companies. This includes well-known brands such as Avis, National, Enterprise, Alamo, Sixt, Dollar, and Payless. Our guarantee is specifically focused on ensuring our direct rates are the best available for Budget rentals.
Furthermore, certain types of rates are excluded from the Best Rate Guarantee. Rates that are obtained through discounts, coupons, upgrade offers, or pre-negotiated agreements (such as group, government, corporate, tour, or insurance replacement rentals) are not eligible. Similarly, rates that are part of a package deal – like airfare and hotel bundles – or those found on auction or wholesale websites where the rental company is hidden until after purchase, are also excluded. Finally, rates that require a member login to view on third-party websites are not covered under our Best Rate Guarantee. This ensures we are comparing against publicly available rates.

To further reward your loyalty, Budget offers a Free Day after just a three-day minimum rental. This fantastic offer applies to a range of car sizes, from intermediate (group C) up to full-size four-door (group E) vehicles. Imagine the savings of an entire day of rental fees waived!
It’s important to note that while the daily time and mileage charges are waived for the free day, you will still be responsible for taxes, concession recovery fees, customer facility charges (which are $10 per contract in California), and fuel costs. Optional extras such as Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) and other surcharges may also apply and are additional. This offer requires a minimum three-day rental and cannot be used for one-way rentals. Only one coupon can be used per rental, and it cannot be combined with other coupons, promotions, or offers.
This Free Day offer is valid at Budget locations within the contiguous United States, excluding the New York Metro area. Be aware that holiday periods and other blackout dates may apply. If your rental period begins during a blackout period, the entire rental is ineligible for the coupon. Advance reservation is necessary, and you must provide the profile number associated with the coupon to redeem this offer. To ensure you benefit, reservations must be cancelled by the rental date to avoid coupon usage. Vehicle availability is subject to the time of reservation and may not be available on all rates at all times. For online reservations made on Budget.com, the free day will be applied at the rental counter. Budget retains the right to modify the terms and conditions or to refuse or expire coupons without prior notice. Coupons cannot be applied to rentals that have already been completed. Standard Budget age, driver, and credit requirements must be met, and minimum age requirements can vary by location. Renters under 25 years old may be subject to an additional daily surcharge. Please remember, this rental must begin on or before December 31, 2023, to qualify.
