For experienced ambassadors seeking to take their involvement to the next level, the Captain position offers a leadership-focused role. Eligibility requires at least two semesters of service as a Career Ambassador (including fall, spring, and summer terms). Captains work in close partnership with the Peer Engagement Coordinator, providing essential support to fellow ambassadors and spearheading key outreach and program initiatives. As a PRO Team member, you might:

- Pioneer new event formats and topics: Identify unmet needs within the BU student community and design innovative events to address them. The Public Relations (PR) Team: Amplifying the Career Message
Are you a marketing and communications enthusiast? The Public Relations (PR) Team is responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to promote the CCD and the Career Ambassador Program across the BU campus. This team is the voice of the program, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging reaches the diverse student population.
As a PR Team member, you might:
- Collaborate on CCD marketing initiatives: Partner with CCD staff to promote key career development resources, services, and knowledge, actively working to increase student and campus engagement with career planning.
- Lead social media and digital marketing efforts: Develop and manage social media content, create engaging marketing materials, and analyze data to refine communication strategies and maximize reach.
- Research emerging trends: Stay ahead of the curve by researching social media and marketing trends both within and outside of the career services field, continuously seeking innovative approaches to enhance the CCD’s marketing and social media presence.
The Partnerships & Equity (P&E) Team: Building Bridges and Expanding Access

As a P&E Team member, you might:

Eligibility Requirements for Career Ambassadors
To be eligible for the Career Ambassador Program, you must meet the following criteria:
- Full-time Undergraduate Student: You must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at Boston University and maintain good academic standing.
- GPA: A cumulative GPA of 3.0 is preferred, but all motivated applicants are encouraged to apply, regardless of GPA.
- Commitment: You must commit to working for both the fall and spring semesters within the same academic year.
- Weekly Hours: You must be available to work 10 hours per week during regular business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM), with occasional evening and weekend hours as needed.
- Mandatory Training: You must commit to attending mandatory fall training sessions and weekly team meetings (Fridays, 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM during class sessions).
- Pre-Semester Training: You must be available to attend a mandatory three-day program training prior to the start of fall semester classes (Thursday, August 28 – Saturday, August 30, 2025).
