Elevate Your Teaching Impact with the Career Bridge Program

Faculty members are invited to play a crucial role in shaping student futures through the Career Bridge Program. This initiative is designed to seamlessly weave career readiness into the academic experience, empowering students to confidently transition from the classroom to their professional fields.

Empowering Students Through Faculty Expertise

At the heart of the Career Bridge Program is the expertise of our faculty. By partnering with Career Services, faculty members will design and lead unique programs that connect academic learning with essential career competencies. This collaborative approach ensures students not only gain deep theoretical knowledge but also develop the practical skills and self-assurance needed to excel in their chosen careers. This bridge between academic rigor and real-world application is what sets our students apart.

Recognition and Resources for Faculty Innovators

We deeply value the commitment of our faculty in fostering student career readiness. Participating faculty will receive a $2,500 stipend as recognition for their invaluable contribution to the program’s success. Furthermore, a dedicated $1,500 budget will be allocated to each faculty partner to support the development and execution of impactful program activities. This financial support underscores our investment in both faculty development and student achievement.

Our Dedication to Student Career Success

The Career Bridge Program exemplifies our unwavering dedication to student empowerment and professional growth. By supporting faculty-led initiatives, we are creating a robust ecosystem where students are exceptionally prepared for their future careers. In partnership with the UMKC’s Career Development Specialist, our offices are committed to providing comprehensive support throughout the application and program implementation phases.

Program Highlights and Key Dates

Each faculty-designed program will focus on guiding students through the essential stages of career development: discovery, exploration, and preparation. Programs can range from single workshops to semester-long series, with all activities to be completed by the fifteenth week of the semester and funds utilized by May 1st. We encourage innovative new programs, as well as expansions of existing successful initiatives.
