What is the CARES Housing Assistance Program Nevada (CHAP)?

The CARES Housing Assistance Program (CHAP) is designed to support residents of Clark County, Nevada, who are facing significant financial challenges. Proof of Identity

  1. Valid Photo ID

Proof of COVID-19 Impact (Submit One of the Following)

  1. Minimum of 2 recent pay stubs showing a clear reduction in income compared to pre-COVID earnings.
  2. Official Unemployment benefits confirmation documents (such as a copy of a benefit check or an official confirmation letter).
  3. Formal statement from your Employer detailing the impact of COVID-19 on your employment and income.

Current Lease Agreement

Proof of Housing Need

  1. Landlord Verification Form (This form will be provided to you by your assigned CHAP Provider).
  2. Official Default Letter or Notice from your landlord.
  3. Recent Utility bill (Please note: utility bills payable to governmental entities are not accepted).
