This program provides personalized job search assistance for spouses and partners of newly recruited Vanderbilt team members, supporting a smooth transition to both professional life at Vanderbilt and personal life in the Nashville community. Our Dual Career Program offers a range of services tailored to the unique needs of each partner’s career journey. For partners of newly hired faculty and staff, we provide support for up to one year, starting from the initial stages of recruitment. Our services include:

  • Pre-Offer Consultations: We offer preliminary consultations during the interview process to address spousal/partner employment concerns and provide regional employment insights.
  • Vanderbilt Employment Insights: Gain exclusive information about job openings, the application system, and hiring processes within Vanderbilt University and Medical Center.
  • Targeted Job Identification: We assist in identifying suitable positions within Vanderbilt that align with the partner’s skills and career goals.
  • Regional Employment Overview: Receive valuable information about the broader job market in the Nashville metropolitan area, including key industries and employers.
  • Individualized Career Coaching: Benefit from one-on-one consultation sessions with career professionals to discuss career goals and job search strategies.
