Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) are the backbone of patient support in healthcare facilities. Working alongside nurses and other medical professionals, PCTs are essential frontline caregivers. They play a vital role in delivering comprehensive patient care at Texas Health, making a tangible impact on patient well-being every day.
What Does Our Patient Care Technician Apprenticeship Offer?
This intensive program is structured to get you job-ready in just four weeks, combining paid learning with practical experience.
- Earn While You Learn: Get paid while participating in our comprehensive 4-week Patient Care Technician Apprenticeship Program.
- Blended Learning Approach: Benefit from online classroom instruction combined with hands-on training at our participating hospital locations.
- Focused Skill Development: This apprenticeship is designed to equip you with the essential skills to excel as a Patient Care Technician. Please note this program doesn’t include national certification.
- Full-Time Commitment: The program requires a full-time commitment, Monday through Friday, allowing for immersive learning.
- Accessible Entry: A high school diploma or equivalent is the only educational prerequisite to apply.
