Starbucks Card Terms and Conditions: A Comprehensive Guide for Users

Understanding the terms and conditions associated with your Starbucks Card is crucial for a smooth and rewarding experience. This guide breaks down the Starbucks Card Agreement, effective from July 24, 2023, providing clarity on everything from loading value to dispute resolution. Whether you’re a frequent Starbucks visitor or a new cardholder, this information will help you navigate the program with confidence.

Understanding Your Starbucks Account

When you acquire a Starbucks Card, whether physical or digital, you’re essentially entering into an agreement with Starbucks Corporation. This agreement outlines the rules and guidelines for using your card. The Starbucks Card functions as a prepaid card, allowing you to load funds for purchasing goods and services at participating Starbucks stores. Think of it as a digital wallet specifically for your Starbucks transactions.

The value you load onto your Starbucks Card is a prepayment and is not considered a deposit. This means the balance on your card is not insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and does not accrue interest. While the card simplifies transactions and enhances your Starbucks experience, it’s important to understand its financial nature. Unless legally required or explicitly permitted within the agreement, the balance on your Starbucks Card is nonrefundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Where Can You Use Your Starbucks Card?

The versatility of the Starbucks Card is a significant advantage for users across North America, including Puerto Rico. The vast majority of Starbucks locations readily accept the card for payments. However, it’s worth noting that some Starbucks-branded locations, particularly those in airports, grocery stores, bookstores, or in Guam, might not participate in the Starbucks Card program.

To ensure a seamless payment experience, it’s always recommended to check if a specific store accepts Starbucks Cards. You can easily do this by inquiring directly at the store or by using the Starbucks store locator online. A helpful indicator on the store locator is the “Digital Rewards” amenity listing, which confirms Starbucks Card acceptance at that location. This widespread acceptance makes the Starbucks Card a convenient payment method for coffee lovers on the go.

Eligibility for Starbucks Card

Starbucks Cards are designed for users aged 13 and above. Individuals under 13 are not the intended audience for these cards. For teenagers between 13 and 18 years old, usage is permitted but requires the supervision and agreement of a parent or legal guardian to the Starbucks Card Agreement. This ensures responsible usage and understanding of the terms, especially for younger users.

Furthermore, registering your Starbucks Card with the Starbucks Rewards program unlocks additional benefits and personalized experiences. When you enroll in Starbucks Rewards, you agree to the program’s terms of use, which are separate from the Starbucks Card Agreement but work in conjunction to enhance your overall Starbucks engagement. These rewards terms can be found on the Starbucks website, providing further details on loyalty benefits and program specifics.

Loading Value onto Your Starbucks Card

Adding value to your Starbucks Card is a straightforward process with multiple convenient options available in the United States and Canada. You can easily reload your card in person at any participating Starbucks store, providing a quick and direct method. For digital convenience, the Starbucks website offers an online reloading portal, accessible through your Starbucks account. Alternatively, you can reload via phone by calling 1-800-STARBUC, offering another accessible option for users.

It’s important to note that there might be a slight delay between when you initiate the reload and when the funds become available on your Starbucks Card for use. This processing time is usually minimal but should be considered, especially if you plan to use the reloaded value immediately.

Understanding Load Limits and Restrictions

Starbucks implements certain limits on the value you can load and maintain on your Starbucks Cards. At any given time, the maximum value you can hold on a single Starbucks Card is $500. Additionally, a daily transaction limit of $2,000 is associated with each card. This means that the total activity (loads and spending) on one card cannot exceed $2,000 within a single day.

Furthermore, there’s a cumulative daily limit of $10,000 for loading value across all your Starbucks Cards and purchasing new cards. The minimum amount you can load onto a Starbucks Card at any instance is typically $5, although this amount is subject to change. Starbucks reserves the right to modify these load limits and minimum reload amounts at any time without prior notice. It’s advisable to be aware of these limits, especially for users who frequently reload or use their cards for larger transactions.

Payment Methods and Authorization Process

When you use a credit or debit card to load value onto your Starbucks Card, a standard authorization process is initiated before the transaction is finalized. This process is designed to validate your payment information and ensure transaction security. The authorization verifies the credit or debit card number, its status, available credit or funds, and billing details against the information held by your bank or card issuer.

During this authorization, your bank or Starbucks might contact you for additional verification if needed. For credit cards, an approved authorization may temporarily reduce your available credit line. Similarly, for debit cards, your bank might place a temporary hold on the funds in your account. This hold is temporary, and the actual charge to your card occurs only upon the successful completion of the reload transaction. If a transaction is canceled, Starbucks will request an authorization reversal, but the time for reversal can vary depending on your bank’s policies. It’s recommended to contact your bank or credit card company to understand their specific authorization and reversal procedures.

Currency Conversion for International Use

Starbucks Cards are initially loaded with the currency of the country where they are purchased, known as the “base currency.” However, Starbucks Cards purchased in the United States offer remarkable flexibility, as they can also be used in Canada, England, Scotland, Wales, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Mexico, and Australia. This international usability makes the Starbucks Card a convenient travel companion for coffee lovers.

When you make a purchase in a country using a different currency (the “local currency”), the transaction amount is automatically converted from the local currency to the base currency and deducted from your Starbucks Card balance. Starbucks does not impose any fees or additional charges for this currency conversion. However, it’s important to be aware that your bank or card provider might levy separate fees if you are using a credit or debit card to reload your Starbucks Card outside of the U.S. Starbucks has no control over and receives no portion of such external fees. While your Starbucks Card balance is maintained in the base currency, your receipt will display the transaction in the local currency of the store. Online transactions are typically processed in U.S. dollars. Currency conversions are based on the prevailing exchange rates at the time of the transaction, ensuring fair and accurate value adjustments.

Auto-Reload Feature for Continuous Balance

To enhance convenience, Starbucks offers an auto-reload feature for your Starbucks Card, ensuring you always have funds available. You can set up auto-reload by linking a payment method to your Starbucks account online. This feature allows you to choose to reload your card manually online whenever you wish, or to automate the process entirely.

With automatic reload, you can specify a reload date or a balance threshold at which your card should be reloaded. You provide your payment information, and Starbucks will automatically reload your card according to your chosen schedule and amount. You’ll receive an email confirmation detailing the auto-reload terms and subsequent email notifications after each successful reload. You have full control over your auto-reload preferences and can modify them at any time. However, changes might take up to 24 hours to become effective. To discontinue the auto-reload feature, you need to adjust your settings in your Starbucks account online or contact customer service at least 24 hours before the next scheduled reload. Once a reload transaction is completed, it cannot be reversed.

Business Use of Starbucks Cards

Businesses have unique opportunities to utilize Starbucks Cards for various purposes, but it’s essential to be aware of specific requirements and restrictions. Reselling Starbucks Cards is generally prohibited, and using them to solicit new customers is also restricted. Starbucks provides detailed information and guidelines for business-to-business use on their dedicated website, http://starbuckscardb2b.com. This platform outlines permissible uses, bulk purchasing options, and terms tailored for business applications.

Starbucks eGift Cards: Sending the Gift of Coffee Digitally

Starbucks eGift Cards, also known as “eGifts,” offer a convenient and digital way to send the gift of Starbucks to friends, family, or colleagues. The eGift program allows you to purchase and send a virtual Starbucks Card via email or through various social media and messaging platforms. You can personalize your eGift by choosing from various designs and selecting a specific dollar value within set limits. Payment for eGifts can be made using a credit card, debit card, or other accepted electronic payment methods.

You have the flexibility to choose the delivery date for your eGift, including same-day delivery if your payment is approved promptly. Upon purchase, you authorize Starbucks to charge your chosen payment method immediately, regardless of the scheduled delivery date. On the delivery date, the recipient receives an email notification that they’ve received a Starbucks eGift from you. Recipients have several options for using their eGift: they can add it to their Starbucks account, transfer the balance to an existing physical Starbucks Card, or print out the eGift and present it at a Starbucks store for purchases. eGifts can also be registered for use with the Starbucks mobile app, providing seamless digital access. You, as the sender, will receive an email confirmation when the recipient opens the eGift email, confirming delivery. It’s important for recipients to treat eGifts like cash, as they function just like physical Starbucks Cards. Each eGift is associated with a unique Starbucks Card number, regardless of how many times it’s printed. Refunds for eGifts are only provided for unused cards and require the original purchase receipt. For any inquiries or concerns about the status of an eGift, Starbucks provides online self-service options and dedicated customer support via email and phone.

Promotional Programs and Starbucks Cards

Starbucks periodically conducts promotional programs (“Promotions”) related to the Starbucks Card program. These promotions are offered at Starbucks’ sole discretion and are subject to the general Starbucks Card terms and conditions, as well as any additional terms specified for each individual promotion. Starbucks retains the right to modify or terminate the terms and conditions of any promotion at any time, including ending the promotion altogether. Users participating in or intending to participate in promotional programs should carefully review the specific terms associated with each promotion to fully understand the benefits, requirements, and any limitations.

Fees, Expiration, and Card Balances

A significant advantage of Starbucks Cards is the absence of various fees commonly associated with gift cards or prepaid cards. Starbucks does not charge any activation fees when you first acquire a card, nor are there any service fees for ongoing use. Importantly, Starbucks Cards do not incur dormancy or inactivity fees, meaning your balance won’t be reduced for non-use over time. Adding to their user-friendliness, Starbucks Cards have no expiration dates, and the value stored on the card never expires. This ensures that your funds remain accessible indefinitely, providing long-term value and flexibility.

Starbucks Cards as Merchandise

Some Starbucks Cards are designed as merchandise items themselves or are bundled with other merchandise. In these cases, the purchase price of the bundled item typically reflects the dollar value loaded onto the Starbucks Card plus the retail value of the accompanying merchandise. While these items are sold as a bundle, Starbucks may, at its discretion, allow returns of the merchandise component if you wish to keep only the Starbucks Card.

For bundles where the merchandise is inseparable from the Starbucks Card, Starbucks may offer a return option where you receive a refund for the merchandise value and a replacement Starbucks Card loaded with the original card value. The specific requirements for returning the merchandise component are generally the same as for returning other Starbucks merchandise, unless explicitly stated otherwise at the time of purchase. It’s advisable to clarify the return policy for bundled items at the point of sale to understand the specific conditions.

Receipts and Transaction History

Whenever you use your Starbucks Card for a purchase, you can request a receipt. This receipt will confirm that the transaction was made using a Starbucks Card and will display the remaining balance on your card after the purchase. For detailed transaction monitoring, Starbucks encourages users to regularly check their online transaction history. This history provides a comprehensive record of your Starbucks Card usage, allowing you to verify transactions and ensure the accuracy of your account balance. You can easily access your Starbucks Card balance and review recent transactions online through the Starbucks website or mobile app. Additionally, your Starbucks Card balance is typically displayed on the point-of-sale receipt at the time of purchase. Starbucks does not send separate periodic statements of account activity, making it important for users to proactively monitor their transaction history online.

Billing Errors and Corrections

Starbucks is committed to ensuring the accuracy of your Starbucks Card balance and transaction history. If you believe a clerical, billing, or accounting error has occurred, Starbucks will investigate and correct the balance if an error is confirmed. If you have questions or wish to dispute a transaction or correction applied to your Starbucks Card, you should contact Starbucks Customer Service. To facilitate a thorough review, you’ll need to provide sufficient details regarding the transaction in question. Upon receiving your claim, Starbucks will conduct a review and inform you of their findings. If an error is found, it will be promptly corrected. If no error is identified, Starbucks will explain the findings of their review. It’s important to note that Starbucks has a timeframe for reviewing billing errors. They are not obligated to review or correct errors unless you provide sufficient notice within 60 days of the date of the transaction in question. Timely reporting is crucial for the efficient resolution of any billing discrepancies.

Fraud and Unauthorized Card Use

Starbucks takes measures to protect against fraud and unauthorized use of Starbucks Cards. Starbucks reserves the right to refuse any Starbucks Card or limit its usage if they reasonably suspect unauthorized, fraudulent, or unlawful activity. This action is deemed necessary to mitigate risk and protect the integrity of the Starbucks Card system.

It’s important to understand that Starbucks does not control the secondary market for preloaded Starbucks Cards sold by independent sellers. Starbucks cannot control the pricing or denominations offered by these sellers and therefore bears no liability for third-party fraud or unlawful activities associated with Starbucks Card balances acquired through such channels. If Starbucks discovers that a Starbucks Card or its balance originated from fraud or unlawful means, they may, at their discretion, cancel the affected cards and retain the associated balances without prior notice. Retained balances may be used to offset liabilities incurred by Starbucks due to fraudulent activities, such as losses from compromised credit and debit cards used to purchase or load Starbucks Cards.

Registration and Liability for Unauthorized Transactions

Registering your Starbucks Card offers enhanced security and protection against loss or theft. You can easily register your card online through the Starbucks website or mobile app. During registration, you agree to provide accurate and complete personal information and to update this information if it changes. Failure to provide or update accurate information, or if Starbucks has reason to suspect the information is inaccurate, may result in the disabling of your Starbucks Card. If you believe your card was disabled in error, you should contact Starbucks customer service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your Starbucks Card information.

Treat your Starbucks Card like cash and avoid sharing your card details with others. If your Starbucks Card is lost or stolen, anyone who gains possession of it can potentially use the card balance. You are liable for all transactions made with your Starbucks Card, including unauthorized transactions. However, if you have registered your Starbucks Card and it is lost, stolen, or damaged, you are protected. You can report the loss, and Starbucks can replace the card with the remaining balance at the time you report it. To report a lost, stolen, or damaged registered card, you can do so online through your Starbucks account or by calling customer service. Upon notification, Starbucks will freeze the remaining balance and transfer it to a replacement Starbucks Card. Registration is crucial for balance protection in case of loss or theft.

Privacy Policy

Starbucks is committed to protecting your privacy. The Starbucks Privacy Policy, available on their website, details how Starbucks collects, uses, and discloses customer information. It also provides information on how you can update or modify your personal details and manage your communication preferences with Starbucks. It’s recommended to carefully review the Starbucks Privacy Policy to understand your rights and how your personal information is handled.

Changes to the Starbucks Card Agreement

Starbucks reserves the right to amend the Starbucks Card Agreement at any time. When changes are made, Starbucks will post the updated agreement on their website. For a period of 30 days following the posting of an amended agreement, a notice will also be displayed on the website indicating that the terms have been revised. As permitted by law, any changes, additions, or deletions to the agreement become effective immediately upon posting the revised agreement online. Unless otherwise specified, these changes apply to both your existing and future Starbucks Cards.

Your continued use of your Starbucks Card after the notice period constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you must notify Starbucks in writing within 20 days of the notice (or other specified timeframe). In this case, Starbucks will cancel your Starbucks Cards and refund any remaining balance to you. Staying informed about updates to the Starbucks Card Agreement is important for all users.

Cancellation of the Agreement

Starbucks retains the right to suspend or terminate the Starbucks Card Agreement and revoke or limit any rights and privileges associated with your card at any time, without prior notice or liability. Termination can occur due to fraudulent or unauthorized use of your Starbucks Card, including providing invalid information. For instance, transferring balances between multiple Starbucks Cards solely to obtain cash back is considered unauthorized use and may lead to card cancellation and balance retention by Starbucks to mitigate losses.

If Starbucks terminates the agreement without cause, you will receive a refund or store credit equivalent to the balance on your canceled Starbucks Card(s), minus any outstanding amounts you may owe to Starbucks. Understanding the conditions under which Starbucks can cancel the agreement is essential for responsible card use.

Dispute Resolution: Arbitration Agreement and Legal Rights

The Starbucks Card Agreement includes a comprehensive dispute resolution section, which is crucial to understand as it affects your legal rights. This section outlines the process for resolving any disputes arising from the agreement or your use of the Starbucks Card. It includes an arbitration agreement, which means that most disputes will be resolved through individual arbitration rather than court trials or class actions.

Arbitration is a more informal process than court litigation, utilizing a neutral arbitrator instead of a judge or jury. Discovery and appellate review are also more limited in arbitration. By agreeing to the Starbucks Card terms, you are agreeing to this arbitration agreement, which has significant implications for how legal disputes are handled.

Arbitration Agreement Details

The arbitration agreement is intended to be broadly interpreted, covering any dispute or claim related to the Starbucks Card Agreement, your card usage, or your relationship with Starbucks and its affiliates. This includes disputes based on contract, tort, statute, fraud, misrepresentation, or any other legal theory. The agreement mandates binding individual arbitration for dispute resolution, except for small claims court cases that remain within its jurisdiction and are not appealed to a higher court. The scope of disputes covered by arbitration is extensive, including claims that arose before the current agreement, claims currently in purported class action litigation (where you are not a class member), and claims that may arise after the termination of the agreement. However, disputes concerning patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, piracy, or unauthorized use of intellectual property are excluded from arbitration.

The arbitrator’s authority is limited to deciding most issues, but certain issues are reserved for a court of competent jurisdiction. These include issues related to: (a) court-reserved issues within the agreement, (b) the scope, validity, or enforceability of the arbitration agreement or class action waiver, and (c) the arbitrability of any dispute. The arbitration agreement does not prevent you from bringing a dispute to the attention of a government agency. The agreement is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act and federal arbitration law, as it involves interstate commerce.

Mandatory Informal Dispute Resolution Process

Before initiating arbitration, the Starbucks Card Agreement mandates a Mandatory Informal Dispute Resolution Process. This process requires both parties to attempt to resolve disputes informally through good-faith negotiation. The party initiating the dispute must send a written notice to the other party, including detailed information about the dispute, contact details, and the relief sought. If you have a dispute with Starbucks, you must send this notice to their Customer Service department via the appropriate link on their contact page. If Starbucks has a dispute with you, they will send the notice to your most recent contact information.

Following the receipt of a complete notice, a 60-day negotiation period commences (which can be extended by mutual agreement). During this period, both parties are expected to negotiate in good faith to resolve the dispute. Either party can request a telephone settlement conference, which both you and a Starbucks representative (with counsel if applicable) must attend. Completion of this Mandatory Informal Dispute Resolution Process is a prerequisite for initiating an arbitration claim. The sufficiency of the notice or compliance with this process can be determined by a court, and any arbitration proceedings will be stayed pending this determination. The court has the authority to enforce this condition precedent, including enjoining arbitrations and managing arbitration fees. All applicable statutes of limitations are tolled from the date of notice receipt until the conclusion of this process. If the dispute remains unresolved after this process, either party may then commence arbitration.

Arbitration Procedures and Costs

Arbitration proceedings are administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and follow their rules, including the Consumer Arbitration Rules, as modified by the Starbucks Card Agreement. AAA rules are accessible on their website. The AAA’s determination that the arbitration agreement complies with Consumer Due Process Protocols is considered final. If AAA is unavailable or unwilling to administer the arbitration as agreed, the parties will agree on an alternative administrator or petition a court to appoint one.

An arbitration demand must include a certification of compliance with the Mandatory Informal Dispute Resolution Process and be personally signed by the initiating party (and counsel). By initiating arbitration, the party and their counsel certify compliance with Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 11(b), and the arbitrator can impose sanctions under this rule. You can choose to have the arbitration conducted via phone, video, in-person hearing, or written submissions. However, disputes seeking $25,000 or more or injunctive relief require an in-person or video hearing, unless agreed otherwise. Both parties can request a hearing in any matter, and personal appearance by you and a Starbucks representative (with counsel) is required at any hearing. In-person hearings will be held in your county of residence or another mutually agreed location.

The arbitrator can award individual relief available in court, including injunctive or declaratory relief, but only to the extent necessary for individual claim relief. Class, collective, consolidated, private attorney general, or representative proceedings are waived to the fullest extent permitted by law. Unless both parties agree otherwise, the arbitrator cannot consolidate claims or preside over any form of class or representative proceeding. The arbitrator must enforce the Starbucks Card Agreement as a court would. If any prohibitions on non-individualized relief or class proceedings are found unenforceable, those specific claims will be decided by a court after all other claims are arbitrated. The arbitrator will issue a reasoned written decision. Cost-shifting provisions of Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 68 apply after award entry. Judgment on the arbitration award can be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction, except for satisfied awards. An award has no preclusive effect in other proceedings where you are not a party. Arbitration fees are governed by AAA Rules and fee schedules. Starbucks and you share an interest in cost reduction and efficiency in arbitration. Either party may engage with AAA regarding fees, and both parties agree to cooperate to ensure arbitration remains cost-effective.

Additional Procedures for Multiple Case Filings

If you are part of a Multiple Case Filing (25 or more similar disputes coordinated by the same counsel), additional procedures apply. These procedures may delay dispute resolution and potentially lead to court proceedings. Counsel for both parties are required to meet and confer in good faith to resolve disputes, streamline procedures, exchange information, and manage the number of cases. For Multiple Case Filings, all applicable statutes of limitations are tolled from the initial AAA submission until your dispute is selected for a staged process, settled, withdrawn, resolved, or opted out of arbitration.

Stage One: If at least 100 disputes are filed, each side selects 50 disputes to proceed in individual arbitrations as an initial stage. If fewer than 100 disputes exist, all proceed to Stage One. Each case is assigned to a different arbitrator. If a case is withdrawn, another is selected. Remaining disputes are not filed in arbitration, and no fees are assessed for them. After Stage One, a global mediation session with a jointly selected retired judge is conducted to resolve remaining disputes, with Starbucks paying the mediator’s fee.

Stage Two: If disputes remain after Stage One mediation, each side selects 100 more disputes for individual arbitration in a second stage. If fewer than 200 remain, all proceed to Stage Two. No more than five cases can be assigned to a single arbitrator. Withdrawn cases are replaced. Remaining disputes are not filed, and no fees are assessed. Following Stage Two, another global mediation session occurs for remaining disputes, again with Starbucks paying the mediator. Upon completing Stage Two mediation, any unresolved disputes are opted out of arbitration and may proceed in court, consistent with the agreement. Counsel may mutually agree to continue arbitrating remaining disputes individually or through another process. A court can enforce these Additional Procedures, including enjoining arbitrations and managing fees. The Additional Procedures for Multiple Case Filings are essential to the arbitration agreement. If deemed unenforceable by a court after appeals, your dispute will proceed in court, not arbitration, consistent with the rest of the agreement.

Future Changes to Arbitration Agreement and Waivers

If Starbucks makes future changes to the arbitration agreement (excluding contact information updates), you can reject these changes by sending a personally signed written notice within 30 days to Starbucks’ legal department at the provided address. Rejecting future changes means you agree to arbitrate disputes under the current version of the arbitration agreement.

You and Starbucks mutually agree to conduct proceedings individually, not as part of any class, collective, consolidated, private attorney general, or representative action, whether in arbitration or court. You waive any right to bring or participate in such actions to the fullest extent permitted by law, although the right to participate in class-wide settlements is retained. To the fullest extent allowable by applicable law, you and Starbucks waive the right to a jury trial.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The Starbucks Card Agreement is governed by the laws of Washington State, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. If the arbitration agreement is deemed unenforceable or inapplicable, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of federal and state courts in King County, Washington, for any legal actions related to the agreement. You waive any objections to personal jurisdiction or venue in these courts, including objections based on inconvenient forum or venue transfer requests.

Disclaimers and Limits of Liability

Starbucks and its affiliates provide the Starbucks Card “as is” without any express or implied representations, warranties, or conditions. This includes disclaimers of implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and warranties arising from trade usage, course of dealing, or performance. Starbucks does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to or acceptance of Starbucks Cards.

In the event of liability, Starbucks or its affiliates are only liable for actual and direct damages, not exceeding the last balance on your Starbucks Card. They are not liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages (including lost profits, revenue, or use) or punitive/exemplary damages arising from the agreement, regardless of legal theory, even if advised of potential damages. Starbucks and its affiliates are not liable for unauthorized card access, alteration, theft, or destruction due to accident, misuse, fraud, or circumstances beyond their control.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion/limitation of certain damages. In such cases, some disclaimers, exclusions, or limitations may not apply to you, and your rights may extend beyond this agreement. In these jurisdictions, Starbucks’ liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Assignment and Entire Agreement

Starbucks can assign all or part of the Starbucks Card Agreement without notice, thereby being released from all liability. You cannot assign this agreement without Starbucks’ prior written consent, and any attempted assignment will be void. The Starbucks Card Agreement constitutes the complete and exclusive agreement between you and Starbucks Corporation, superseding all prior agreements related to your Starbucks Card (excluding the Starbucks Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and Starbucks Rewards Terms of Use). If any provision of this agreement is deemed unlawful, void, or unenforceable, it will be severable and will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. Certain sections, including Disclaimers and Limits of Liability, Dispute Resolution, and Governing Law and Jurisdiction, survive any termination or expiration of the agreement.
