Boeing is dedicated to making the world a better place through innovation and collaboration. We are committed to providing a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment for every team member, offering outstanding opportunities for professional growth. If you are an ambitious early career engineering professional, Boeing is where you can build your future. The Boeing Engineering Career Foundation Program is designed to be your launchpad into a successful and impactful engineering career.

The Boeing Engineering Career Foundation Program (ECFP) is a comprehensive 2-year rotational program meticulously crafted to accelerate the careers of talented individuals just starting out in engineering. Each July, a new cohort of participants joins the ECFP at various Boeing sites across the United States, including locations in Washington, Missouri, and Arizona. The program’s structure involves an initial 12-month placement at one site, followed by two subsequent relocations (every 6 months) to different Boeing U.S. production sites. Boeing provides company-sponsored relocation to ensure a smooth transition between locations, allowing participants to immerse themselves in diverse engineering environments across sites in Washington, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Arizona, California, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas.

Sample Rotation Path (Illustrative – Could be Engineering Focused):

  1. Everett, WA – Commercial Airplane Design Engineering
  2. Seattle, WA – Space and Launch Systems Engineering Analyst
  3. Mesa, AZ – Rotorcraft Manufacturing Engineering
  4. Philadelphia, PA – Military Aircraft Systems Engineering

Through these four carefully structured six-month rotations, participants in the Boeing Engineering Career Foundation Program gain invaluable hands-on experience and build a robust professional network. The rotations are strategically designed to cultivate essential technical skills and provide broad exposure to Boeing’s diverse business and engineering portfolios. Participants will delve into areas critical to engineering excellence, such as design principles, manufacturing processes, systems integration, project management, and technological innovation. These experiences are fundamental in establishing a strong engineering foundation, setting the stage for a successful and dynamic career trajectory at Boeing.

Beyond the rotations, the Boeing Engineering Career Foundation Program is enriched with five in-person development weeks hosted at different Boeing locations. These intensive sessions are designed to provide focused training, leadership development, and networking opportunities. Participants benefit from mentorship from seasoned Boeing Engineering leaders and gain direct insights from industry-leading experts. Upon successful completion of the program, participants are placed into permanent Engineering roles that align with their career aspirations, location preferences, and Boeing’s business needs across its U.S. sites, taking into account their demonstrated performance throughout the program.

This opportunity is available at major Boeing U.S. sites, including Berkeley, MO, Saint Charles, MO, Hazelwood, MO, Mesa, AZ, Tukwila, WA, Everett, WA, Renton, WA, and Seattle, WA. While some rotations might offer limited telecommuting options, on-site work and relocation to the assigned location are mandatory to foster strong professional relationships with peers and team members and to fully engage in the hands-on nature of engineering work.
