Rotations Across Renowned Medical Centers
The KP critical care training program features core inpatient and outpatient rotations at Kaiser Oakland, a hub for subspecialty pulmonary care. Fellows gain experience with complex cases, including cystic fibrosis, and advanced procedures such as interventional pulmonology and cardiopulmonary exercise testing. To further broaden clinical exposure, the fellowship includes rotations at several distinguished medical centers:
- Kaiser San Francisco: Focus on pulmonary arterial hypertension and cardiovascular surgery.
- Kaiser Redwood City: Experience in a specialized neurosurgical ICU.
- Highland Hospital (Oakland): Training in a regional Level 1 trauma ICU setting.
- UCSF: Opportunity to gain insights into lung transplantation.
These diverse rotation sites ensure fellows receive well-rounded training across various critical care and pulmonary subspecialties.
